“THOSE WHO DON’T JUMP WILL NEVER FLY.”
Have you ever done anything super duper crazy? Like so crazy, that your family and friends thought you had gone mad?
Well my friend, my name is Nadine Liverpool and I was that person over a year ago when I decided to pack up my life from Toronto, Canada and move to the beautiful island of Trinidad and Tobago.
I was ABSOLUTELY terrified and had nothing set up. But I knew in my heart I wasn’t ready to settle down in one city and I still had a tenacious desire to explore the world and discover new ways to enjoy life.
I am now a sports presenter at Flow Sports, a regional sports network that is broadcast in over 25 countries in the Caribbean.
How did they find me? YouTube.
Talk about being in the right place at the right time. Some call it luck, I call it preparation meeting opportunity.
And all of this would have not been possible if I didn’t start and build my own personal brand.
Besides being a cool-ass sports presenter, I also teach ambitious, hard-working, and determined professionals and business owners how they can build an amazing online brand too.
Whether you’re looking to create a bangin’ website, start a blog, or grow your social media following, you’re in the right place because I am here to help YOU unleash your creative genius and live life on your own terms.
Just look at me as your fairy brand mother. Actually no, that makes me sound super duper old. I’m more like your branding BFF. Yea, that sounds better. I’m weird, don’t mind me. Just nod your head with a smile and continue on.
This website is for all the multi-passionate creatives, freelancers, small business owners, and sidepreneurs with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Since you’re here right now, something tells me that you know deep down you have so much to offer the world but haven’t the clue on how to showcase it.
You’ve heard about this whole internet thing, but are not quite sure how you can use it to make your mark online. Or you’ve been itching to start your own brand and showcase your greatness to the masses but your fear of failure is holding you back.
I totally understand because I used to be exactly where you are.
Back in 2009, I graduated from the University of Alabama-Birmingham with a Psychology degree after receiving a full-athletic scholarship for soccer. I was naive like millions of graduates who think that once you get a degree you are set fo’ life.
Boy, was I DEAD WRONG!
The first job I got after college was at a restaurant called Boston Pizza serving food to kids with runny noses and senior citizens who reeked of Ovaltine cookies (If you’re not a senior citizen and like Ovaltine cookies, I did not mean to offend you).
Add to that, I had to get a second job at Old Navy folding endless racks of clothes that would just get messed up minutes later. (So Annoying!)
Plus, I was a waitress at a comedy club called Yuk Yuk’s, serving drinks to rowdy guests who would always try to dine and dash on me. But I was a former athlete and still somewhat fast, so homey don’t play that!
After working THREE minimum wage jobs in four months, I knew I was NOT ‘bout that life! So, I went back to school and received a post-graduate diploma in sports journalism in my hometown of Toronto, Canada.
But again, I found myself falling into the trap of believing that a piece of paper was the key to life.
I knew I could BE MORE and DO MORE.
And that’s when I decided to start my own YouTube channel called SportsNAYtion. My nickname is ‘Nay Nay’ plus I love sports, so my brand name at the time was like manifest destiny.
I would literally just sit in my mother’s kitchen and speak into a camera talking about sports.
Just 3 months later, I was asked to be a co-host on a radio show with former NBA legends Penny Hardaway and Charles Oakley.
How did they find me? YOUTUBE.
That’s when I realized there was something powerful about this thing called ‘The Internet’.
I then created my own website and starting building my personal brand using social media.
From there, I’ve built a strong online following and have worked for some of the biggest sports media companies in Canada such as TSN, Sportsnet, and The Score. Plus, I’ve made appearances on NBA TV Canada and MTV Canada and was even named the biggest sports blogger in the country by MTV Canada. Say what?!?
My talents have now taken me all the way to Trinidad and Tobago, in the beautiful West Indies, where I am a sports presenter for Flow Sports, the number one sports network in the Caribbean.
I host the biggest football show in the region, called Premier League Weekly and I even went to cover Super Bowl 52 in Minneapolis this past year and saw the Eagles win their first SB in franchise history.
Pretty cool, right?
And all of this happened because I put myself out there and built my personal brand.
While working in sports media, I’ve been coaching people for over 5 years on how to build a remarkable personal brand so they can live their dreams on their own terms.
I’ve coached ambitious and determined people who range from entrepreneurs, athletes, real estate agents, makeup artists, personal trainers, and more.
I truly believe that each one of us has an incredible gift to give to the world. We each have an expertise, a unique talent, an ability to share, that sets us all apart.
We just need that boost of confidence, guidance, and a method to our creative madness so we can reach for our dreams.
