A TRAILBLAZER IN SPORTS MEDIA
Nadine Liverpool is an internationally renowned sports broadcaster and is currently a presenter at Flow Sports, the most watched sports network in the Caribbean.
Nadine is a leader in the field of sports broadcasting for women and is the host for the top-rated show Premier League Weekly, which is the biggest sports show throughout the region.
The Canadian-born anchor is a former national team women’s footballer for Trinidad and Tobago. She comes from a family with strong Trini roots, as both of her parents were born and raised in sweet T&T before migrating up north.
FORMER STANDOUT ATHLETE
A tomboy at heart, Nadine was always involved in sports and was one of the top soccer players in Canada, as she was a member of the Junior national team. She also attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham on a full athletic scholarship. At UAB, she was a four-year letterwinner and team captain.
While attending college, she dabbled back into the world of international soccer and played on the Trinidadian women’s national team, where she played against countries such as the United States, China, and Argentina.
A NEW JOURNEY
After graduation, Nadine then moved back to her hometown of Toronto, Canada and pursued a new horizon in sports broadcasting. This former football standout received a postgraduate diploma in Sports Journalism from Centennial College and started her quest into the world of sports television.
While attending postgraduate school, the creative and ambitious personality, decided to create her own online show on YouTube called ‘SportsNAYtion.’ The channel was a hybrid of sports commentary and field reporting, where the quirky and outspoken host expressed her opinion on everyday sports topics.
The show’s popularity online grew very quickly and within a few months Nadine was asked to be the co-host and producer of one of the hottest sports radio shows on the internet, ‘The Bottom Line Sports Show’, where she worked alongside former NBA superstars Penny Hardaway and Charles Oakley. Her past interviews include: Dwight Howard, Deion Sanders, Greg Jennings, and Maurice-Jones Drew to name a few.
BREAKING DOWN BARRIERS
Along with rocking the sports internet airwaves, Nadine was also a popular sports panelist on one of MTV Canada’s biggest shows, ‘Play With AJ.’ The ‘Around the Horn’ style production, garnered Nadine the award of MTV Canada’s biggest sports blogger in the country.
This sought-after personality then went on to become a regular guest on the hit NBA TV Canada Show, ‘The Hangout’. Nadine was named ‘The 1st lady of the Couch,' as her candid and entertaining commentary made her a fan favourite amongst the country’s viewers.
Along with being a well-known television and online personality, Nadine has also worked in production for the top sports networks in Canada such as TSN, Sportsnet, and The Score.
PAYING IT FORWARD
In addition to being a remarkable on-air talent, Nadine is also an entrepreneur and runs a personal branding and digital marketing education company, called Liverpool Media, where she teaches professionals how to build their brand online using media and technology.
Nadine has a degree in Psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a sports journalism postgraduate diploma from Centennial College.
